Rehabilitation Center

Karwan-e-Hayat takes great pride in its Rehabilitation program. We believe that it is not enough to medicate the mentally ill. It is essential to help them to rejoin the mainstream of life and become productive members of society.

To achieve this goal Karwan has partnered with Rutgers University (formerly UMDNJ) New Jersey, USA. A program was set up whereby two professors, Professor Russel Smith and Professor Carlos Pratt conducted online courses to teach Karwan employees and volunteers how to organize and run a meaningful Rehabilitation Program. The two professors also visited Pakistan to see how the collaborative program was working. After satisfying themselves of its efficacy and efficiency they have featured this program in US medical journals.
